Ash And Dust

Don’t tell me my love was wrong—
I lived it fierce, I lived it strong.

I chose you when I could have run,
but you betrayed what we’d begun.

With whispered lies and restless eyes,
you chased your solace in disguise.
The bookies claimed you more than me—
a gambler shackled, not set free.

You cheated faith, you fractured trust,
you fed on hunger, fed on lust.
I bled my days into your hands,
you built a kingdom made of sand.

Afraid of nights you’d spend alone,
you shattered the heart that made you home.
And now you weep because I’m gone—
your loyalty was never strong.

I rise from fire, I rise from rust,
What we had is ash and dust.
From ruin’s edge, I breathe again,
no longer yours, no longer chained.
