💔 Reflection
There comes a time when you stop defending your goodness to those who prey on it.
When you learn that peace doesn’t come from proving your worth,
but from walking away from those who never earned it.
This is that moment.
Integrity
by MissT
I do not hold all answers true,
nor cure the ill as healers do,
but in my heart, both torn and kind,
I’ve kept a pure and steadfast mind.
I never lied to please the crowd,
nor bowed to love that spoke too loud.
I gave my truth, I bared my soul,
and paid the price for being whole.
I loved where shadows softly fed,
believed the words a serpent said.
His kiss was wine, his eyes were flame,
but every vow he swore was blame.
I saw the ticket, felt the fall,
the secret that revealed it all.
He smiled, but hid a darker art,
a blade concealed beneath the heart.
If I have cut you from my days,
it’s not revenge, nor bitter plays.
You placed the knife within my hand,
and watched me bleed to understand.
Deceit’s a ghost that drains the bone,
a curse that leaves the kind alone.
It taught me love can rot with lies,
while truth still blooms where ruin lies.
So let false saints and sinners fade,
their masquerades by moonlight played.
I walk where wounded angels sing,
a queen reborn from suffering.
My scars are stars, my pain the proof,
I’ve danced through fire, stood on truth.
And though betrayed, I still believe
that light returns to those who grieve.
