Goodbye in Metaphors

🖤 A Poem for the Ones Who Let Us Drown

By MissT

This piece is poetry — raw, reflective, and drawn from lived emotion.

If it resonates, it’s because too many of us have asked these questions in the dark.

Any resemblance to real people is purely coincidental.

Where is your depth?

Mine is the sea —endless, aching, full of truth.

Yours is the tide,

shallow, retreating, never brave enough to stay.

Where is your loyalty?

Mine lives in the sky —vast, constant, above the storms.

Yours hangs heavy,a dark cloud waiting to break.

Where is your heart?

Mine is the moon —quiet, glowing, watching.

Yours? A black hole

all hunger, no light.

And where am I now?

Gone.

No longer the fool.

No longer yours.

And you?

Only have yourself to blame.
