When You Don’t Feel Nice. by MissT

When you feel like the worst of you’s loud and alive,Like you’re barely a person, just trying to survive,When the mirror reflects all the things you regret,And your heart’s full of ache that you just can’t forget— Remember this truth, soft-spoken but clear:You’ve battled through pain most would run from in fear. You’ve held broken hearts…

When you feel like the worst of you’s loud and alive,
Like you’re barely a person, just trying to survive,
When the mirror reflects all the things you regret,
And your heart’s full of ache that you just can’t forget—

Remember this truth, soft-spoken but clear:
You’ve battled through pain most would run from in fear.
You’ve held broken hearts — not just others’, your own,
And still showed up standing, and still stood alone.

You are not cruel, though your words may have burned,
You’re a woman who’s lived and who’s painfully learned.
You didn’t lash out — you just finally spoke
From a fire long smothered in silence and smoke.

You are not “too much,” or “bitter,” or “cold,”
You are fierce, you are tender, you’re daringly bold.
You’re not always calm — but you’re always true,
And that, more than anything, speaks well of you.

So on days when you feel like a storm in your skin,
Like the best of you’s lost and the worst’s looking in,
Hold tight to the knowing that healing’s not neat—
It’s messy, it’s hard, and it knocks you off your feet.

But kindness still lives in the way that you try,
In the softness you offer when no one asks why,
In the strength that it takes just to keep standing tall—
You don’t feel nice now, but you’re better than all
The lies in your head that would say otherwise.
You are human, you’re worthy, you are still wise.
