I wear my pain like an armour
And sin covers me like a veil
My truth isn’t meant to sting you
It’s for my legacy to prevail
Tortured in mind by a mother,
Left to rot by a father’s hand.
Twisted and torn like a pretzel
By ones that should have been damned.
Not bitter or broken no longer
For your sickly pleasure to see
At last I have opened my heart up
To see what is finally me
My truth, it is soaked in a shame
A shame that was never mine
So I’ll rise right above all this circus
And make sure you don’t cross the line
So take all your blame, accusations,
Look towards a mirror, you’ll see
The pain in my heart isn’t mine
And that’s why I’m finally free
