Where Lonely Meets Despair. by Miss T. (POEM)

In the hush of night, I reached for you—in the twilight, where lonelymeets despair.Where regretkisses soft as rainagainst the aching corners of the heart. But you—you were gone.A ghost in memory,a whisper in time.A fleeting guestin a house never meant to last. Not everyone is built to stay. Some arrive as lessons, some as reminders—of what love is…

In the hush of night, I reached for you—
in the twilight,
where lonely
meets despair.
Where regret
kisses soft as rain
against the aching corners of the heart.

But you—
you were gone.
A ghost in memory,
a whisper in time.
A fleeting guest
in a house never meant to last.

Not everyone is built to stay.
Some arrive as lessons,
some as reminders—
of what love is not.

So why try again,
with a heart worn thin?

Because I still believe.
Even after
four marriages,
countless romances,
and all the hollow echoes between…

I still believe
that love
conquers all.

But this time—
this time,
I’ll begin with me.
And love myself
like I once begged others to.
